2012 MONROE CITY ANNUAL NOTICE

OF PUBLIC MEETINGS

Notice is hereby given of the 2012 Meeting Schedule for Monroe City in accordance with Utah Code §52-4-202-(2)(a)(b):

MONROE CITY COUNCIL: The Monroe City Council holds its regular council meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Monroe City Hall, 10 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF MONROE CITY: The regular meetings of the Municipal Building Authority of Monroe City are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month as deemed necessary by the Board of Trustees. Meetings begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the Monroe City Hall, 10 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

MONROE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: The Monroe City Planning Commission holds its regular commission meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Monroe City Hall, 10 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

MONROE CITY APPEALS BOARD: The Monroe City Appeals Board conducts its regular business meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month on an as-needed basis. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at the Monroe City Hall, 10 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

MONROE CITY UTILITY BOARD: The Monroe City Utility Board holds its regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month as deemed necessary by the board. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Monroe City Hall, 10 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

MONROE CITY LIBRARY BOARD: The regular meetings of the Monroe City Library Board are held quarterly. Meetings begin at 4:00 p.m. and are held at the Monroe City Library, 55 North Main Street, Monroe, Utah.

Work sessions, special or emergency meetings in addition to those specified above may be held as circumstances require. A minimum of 24 hours notice will be given for such meetings. For special accommodations, contact the Monroe City Office at least 24 hours prior to any meeting.

In the event that any of the above meetings should be postponed, canceled or have a time change, a notice will be posted.

MONROE CITY CANVASS OF ELECTIONS 11 2011

NOTICE - OFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS

Public Notice is hereby given that the Monroe City Council did canvass the 2011 Municipal Election results on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Everything was found to be in order. There were 1369 registered persons listed in the official register book. The total number of persons voting was 315 which was 23.01% of registered voters casting their ballots.

The official results of the election are as follows:

Councilmember - four year term (3)

PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION

I, Emalee H. Curtis, City Recorder for the City of Monroe, do hereby certify that the following individuals have met the qualifications to be candidates in the Municipal Election to be held on November 8, 2011.

COUNCILMEMBER (4- year term)

Absent-voter ballot applications will be available at the Monroe City Office until Friday, November 4, 2011. All voting on election day will take place at the Monroe City Community Center, 210 South 300 West. Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

The law requires all voters show proper ID prior to voting.
